Welcome to Doña Ana County’s Building Services Division. This office provides information on obtaining permits and inspections for both commercial and residential construction, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits and inspections, as well as mobile home installation permits.

The department's goal is to assist the general public with home-site development and procedures to ensure compliance with local and state rules and regulations. The department coordinates all applications for various permits. All permit applications must be reviewed and approved to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, zoning, and setback standards.

Sean Vick is the Doña Ana County Certified Building Official/Assistant Director. Patrick Henry and Jesse Gomez are the Certified Building Inspectors. Riley Roman and Joel Candelaria are the Certified Electrical Inspectors, and Candido Jasso (CJ) and David Murillo are the Certified Plumbing/Mechanical Inspectors.

The always willing to help front desk staff are Elizabeth Calloway, Yvonne Perez, Nalleli Angel, Andres Barreto, and Esmeralda Villegas. The office staff takes in all building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and manufactured (mobile) home applications and routes them to the appropriate departments for permit approval. They are available to assist contractors and the general public with all the requirements for obtaining any and all permits.
